By now we of course all know about the MMA explosion that has swept through the country and around the world over the last few years. As this has happened, new MMA apparel and MMA merchandise companies have continued to spring up right and left, trying to compete with the likes of Tapout and Affliction.

The thing about Tapout apparel and Affliction merchandise is that both of these companies really know the sport and what it's all about. Neither one is just a company producing clothing, both are knee-deep in the culture of the sport and the lives of the fighters behind the scenes.

That means that the clothing you get from either of these MMA apparel companies really represents the true spirit of what mixed martial arts competition and training is all about. It's intense, it can be violent, it's physically demanding and it's a state of mind that says something about who you are.

You don't just "do" MMA fighting, you are an MMA fighter in and out of the ring. And whether you actually fight and train, or you're just a fan of these competitions, then you want to showcase all of that with MMA t-shirts and clothing that provide people a glimpse into that and let them know what you're all about.

Tapout merchandise has been around basically since the inception of the sport and the founders have played a large in the sport's development and growth, as they have supported fighters, grassroots organizations and more. Affliction is newer but no less authentic, and Affliction gear comes straight from the source as well.

That's not to say that all of the new companies are bad. Many of them provide high quality merchandise at great prices, such as the startup Intimidation Clothing which is beginning to make a name for itself. Even so, the best in the business remains the two big dogs, Affliction and Tapout.

Of course if you're a fan of boxing or other combat sports, you'll still find some great merchandise that you can rock from both Tapout and Affliction. After all, all of those traits mentioned above from intensity to mindset and physical demands are found elsewhere, and so you can train in and wear that kind of merchandise with pride.

If you're looking for a way to support MMA or boxing, show the world a bit about who you are or just find some great looking gear to wear, then you won't be disappointed with either Tapout or Affliction. Both of these companies are as real as it gets, and both represent the best in MMA apparel.

If you want the best in MMA merchandise and apparel, you have to turn to the biggest names. We'll help you find discounts and deals on all Affliction t-shirts and Tapout apparel so you can sport the latest in high quality MMA style.

Today, there are many celebrities who constantly reinvent themselves. Two good examples would be Courtney Love and of course, Madonna. Madonna has actually spent her career reinventing herself. She has always been able to find innovative ways of reinventing both her musical stylings and fashion that cannot be compared to anyone else in the industry.

In 1985, she can be seen with armful of bracelets made with rubber, torn shirts, crucifixes, lacy bras, tights and a lot more. After she signed her first singles deal, she was able to take the tattered look mainstream.

In 1990, Jean-Paul Gaultier the French designer, was the one who designed her costume for her Blond Ambition World Tour. Madonna's look when she wore her iconic cone bustier that Gaultier designed is still her most memorable.

In 1991, she was even able to channel Marilyn Monroe at the Oscar's with her Bob Mackie dress which was beaded white strapless and body-hugging gown with fur ang formal gloves. She even wore some $20 million worth of diamonds.

Madonna was also able to transform herself into Eva Peron when she played that role in a movie in 1996. She was seen wearing a glamorous Christian Dior dress with red lipstick, her bleached hair pulled back in a knot. She was also able to transform into a geisha and a cowboy. When she became a mother, she was also able to dress herself as a mother. However, as Madonna released her recent albums, she was successfully able to transform herself into a fashionable icon again.

Like Madonna, if you also want to reinvent your life, here are some tips that Madonna has. First, remember that the clothes you wear are one of the most glaring aspects of your lifestyle and personality, so changing them can reinvent your personality.

If you want to reinvent your wardrobe, look first at your lifestyle. Consider your work, for instance. Do you have a 9 to 5 job? Perhaps corporate clothes are a must in your wardrobe. In the same way, casual clothes would fit in if you are a student.

Take out the clutter. Get rid of clothes and accessories you do not need or no longer fits you.

Imagine the person you want to be. From this you can prepare a list of necessary clothes and accessory for your new lifestyle. After that, you can go shopping for the things you need for the new you.

Do not be scared to try new things and looks. You can get ideas on how to go about it from movies, magazines, TV shows, and various media. You can also add a spice of your own personality.

There are some good looks you can try. For example, there is the vintage look which would look good on just about every one. Think of Siena Miller and Kate Moss. Get vintage shoes, clothes, and handbags from thrift stores in your area.

Other looks you can try are Boho Chic which reminds you of Kate Hudson, and the classic look which was popularized by Jackie Onassis.

SalwarKameezIndia.com offers safe and secure online shopping [http://www.salwarkameezindia.com/salwar-kameez-491.htm] of more than 5000 unique fashion products for men, women, teens & kids shipped to you absolutely free anywhere in the world. Check out some bestsellers like diamond heart pendant [http://www.salwarkameezindia.com/pendant-74.htm] and different types of clothing, shoes, jewelry and fashion products.

Are the Pats doomed if they dont sign Moss?

they've lost stallworth and randel gay, there linebacking crew is older than the fransichise and there coach is considered a lieing cheating thieve If they dont sing Moss considering what happened to them in the super bowl is that the end of this dynasty.

hello the dynasty already ended with a Giants win at the SB

There is a reason why the winner of the Super Bowl earns the Vince Lombardi Trophy as a symbol of excellence in the football world. Lombardi encouraged his Green Bay Packer players to pursue perfection so they might catch excellence.

As it turns out, Lombardi and his players caught a lot more than 5 National Football League titles and the first 2 Super Bowl titles. They developed a bond among themselves that lasted a lifetime for those who have passed on, and still survives for those who continue the memory of Lombardi's great leadership and their great work ethic.

Perhaps some years from now the New York Giants will experience that same kind of bond that comes with such a great triumph as their conquest of the New England Patriots and the NFL world this year.

There is no way the Giants could have lived and played through the last 5 weeks of their season without becoming "one" with a purpose bigger than the odds they faced.

New York started by traveling to Tampa Bay and defeating the NFL's second-ranked defense on the Buccaneers home turf. Then the Giants traveled to Dallas to upset the Cowboys on their home field, becoming the first team to defeat a No. 1 seed in the NFL playoffs.

New York then played through a wind chill factor of 23 degrees in Green Bay to turn back the Packers and win the National Football Conference championship, earning the right to play the Patriots in Super Bowl 42. After upsetting New England 17-14 they walked away with the Lombardi Trophy and became the first NFC wild-card team to do so.

Perhaps Vince Lombardi said it best: "If it doesn't matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score?" Lombardi was a winner and now the Giants are too.

New England, which won Super Bowl 36, Super Bowl 38 and Super Bowl 39, will now be remembered as the team that was the first to go 18-0 and then lose in Super Bowl 42 to the Giants. Coach Bill Belichick's jaws were so wired after the defeat he barely uttered 10 words.

The 1972 Miami Dolphins remain the only undefeated NFL team in its 88-year history with their 17-0 record and Super Bowl 7 victory over the Washington Redskins, 14-7.

Embedded in the hard-drive of my mind 40 years from now (assuming I live to be 103) will be two memories:

1) Eli Manning, seemingly surrounded by Patriot rushers, breaking away like a magician from the grasp of an arm not strong enough to rip off his jersey, coming clear in desperation to heave an arcing pass down the field and a heretofore nobody named David Tyree leaping upward over rivals to catch the ball over his head, falling backward, and hanging on even though he was viciously hit in his arm on the way down by Patriot safety Rodney Harrison in an attempt to knock the ball free.

Tyree's 32-yard catch against all odds on 3rd-and-15 with 1:15 left on New York's game-winning drive has to be one of the greatest catches in the history of championship football at any level. Incredible is a weak description of just how good his catch and hold was. He will likely never have such a great moment if he plays another 15 years in the NFL.

Almost forgotten in all of this is just how close Manning was to being sacked and the Patriots going on to preserve their then 4-point lead and possible victory.

New England's great run to an 18-0 mark now becomes a lot less with their Super Bowl loss to the Giants. It is too bad for the Patriots; the Giants could not be happier.

2) Manning's 13-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Plaxico Burress in the corner of the end zone with 35 seconds left happened because 6-foot-5, 232-pound Plaxico Burress was left isolated one-on-one with 5-foot-9, 195-pound cornerback Ellis Hobbs. Hobbs was at least 2 steps behind Burress and in no position to even contest for the ball, which would probably have been useless anyway with Plaxico's tremendous leaping ability, kind of like 5-foot-9 me going one-on-one against Michael Jordan.

Do not blame Hobbs for the loss. Patriot quarterback Tom Brady, who had the snot beat out of him from taking hits all afternoon by the Giants' much faster defensive rushers, did his usual come-from-behind last minute drive to give New England back the lead, 14-10.

Even linebacker Teddy Bruschi, the heart of the Pats defense, had embraced fellow backer Junior Seau on the sideline after the Pats went ahead and prior to the fateful drive, acknowledging that Seau was about to earn his first, long-awaited Super Bowl ring. Somebody forgot to stop Eli Manning and the Giants during the last 2 minutes of the game.

Burress, who had predicted a Giant victory amid the laughs and derisive remarks of almost everyone, caught the winning TD pass. He is a Michigan State University product just like myself. I could not be happier for Plaxico. It pains me to acknowledge that Plaxico was born 11 years AFTER I graduated from MSU.

Last fall I made up my mind to cover college football in my blog and did not even attempt to cover or comment on the NFL. It has now proved to be an excellent decision. I cannot imagine following the New England Patriots all year, fawning over their perfect record run, and being so let down in the Super Bowl.

All hail to the Giants, well, at least until the first NFL kickoff next season, then it will be go Seattle Seahawks for me. What was the name of that almost perfect team? I seem to have already forgotten.

If Rodney Harrison was still on the Patriots, would he have hit Belichick in the knees in the locker room?

I sold my tickets to this game, but wish I would have gone!
I think I would still be down there.

Harrison looked like he was going to cry when they were talking to him after the game about the decision.

The Throwback Jersey was first introduced in the NFL in the 1994 75th anniversary season and continue to be popular with both fans and teams. A wide variety of throwback designs have been worn in the NFL, with varying degrees of accuracy. Most obvious is the lack of leather helmets in the 50s uniforms. The best the league could do was wear their hard versions sans logos. More historical license is the displaying of player names on the throwback jersey. Player names on the uniform was first introduced to the NFL with the AFC merger in 1970. But the NFL requires names on all throwbacks per contemporary rules.

Some teams having had success in their old time uniforms, continue to wear them for the remainder of the season. In fact the San Francisco 49ers wore their their lucky retro uni's all the way into the 1994/1995 season playoffs. Steve Young and crew even wore that 1955 version in their 49-26 Super Bowl XXIX victory over the the San Diego Chargers. The Niners will go back to the successful retro look for the 2009 season as well.

Autographed retros are also quite popular among the sports collectible crowd. An authentic signature can take a $125 jersey and multiply it's value by 400% or more. The mother of all collectible throwbacks is the game worn autographed jersey. These gems go for $800 or more. When buying a collectible, buy from reputable sellers and get A Certificate of Authenticity. You can also find throwbacks that are officially licensed by the National Football League and come with individually numbered; tamper evident holograms. There are many fraudulent products for sale, so buyer beware.

Throwback jerseys make a return for the 2009 NFL season. This is the to pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of the AFL, the American Football League. Sixteen AFL Legacy Games will be played featuring the eight original members of the AFL. The list includes the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs (played as Dallas Texans), New England Patriots (played as the Boston Patriots), New York Jets (played as the Titans of New York), Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and Tennessee Titans (played as the Houston Oilers).

With a throwback jersey you can keep alive those NFL memories of old. Relive that Superbowl win every time you don your team's colors. In a word, REPRESENT.

With six Super Bowl trophies in their trophy case, the Pittsburgh Steelers have a solid claim at being one of the best pro football franchises ever. The Steelers have not always experienced this type of success though as there was an extended period of subpar play that began when they first took the field as the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1933, and extended up until the 1970s. The mid-1970s Steelers made quite an impact though, winning four Super Bowls in a span of six years. Since that time, the Steelers have been a team that all other NFL squads have had to take seriously. Here are five things you probably don't know about the Pittsburgh Steelers.

1. The first wide receiver to win the Super Bowl MVP Award was the Pittsburgh Steelers' Lynn Swann.

2. Steelers quarterback and Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw's last touchdown pass of his career came against the New York Jets in a 1983 road game. This would be the last NFL touchdown pass completed in New York City as the Jets would begin playing their home games in New Jersey the very next year.

3. Only 49ers great Steve Young has more career rushing touchdows as a quarterback than former Steelers quarterback Kordell Stewart.

4. Mike Webster was the longtime center for the Pittsburgh Steelers, eventually earning enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He also has the distinction of being named the starting center on both the 1970s NFL All Decade Team as well as the 1980s NFL All Decade Team.

5. In the entire history of the Pittsburgh Steelers, dating back to 1933, the team has only posted one winless season. That year of no victories came in 1943 when because of worker shortages related to World War II they had combined their roster with the Chicago Cardinals and gone 0-10.

The Steelers have had a long and colorful history in the National Football League, they have finished on both the top and bottom of the league standings. The team has also had some great players over the years including Elbie Nickel, Ernie Stautner, Andy Russell, Jack Butler, Terry Bradshaw, Jerome Bettis, Mean Joe Greene, L.C. Greenwood, Rocky Bleier, Bennie Cunningham, Dwight White, Jack Ham, Jack Lambert, Franco Harris, John Stallworth, Lynn Swann, Hines Ward, Joey Porter, Mel Blount, Greg Lloyd, Ben Roethlisberger, Larry Brown, Mike Webster, Donnie Shell, Rod Woodson and Troy Polamalu, and Gary Anderson. Without a doubt, the Steelers will go on being one of the more important franchises in the NFL for many years to come.

What is your TOP 3 NFL Dynasty 1966-Now?

Okay here's mine!

1. Pittsburgh Steelers (1970's) As much as it hurts me to say. They won 4 Super Bowls, with people like, Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Lynn Swann, Rocky Blier. One the other side of the ball, Joe Green, Dwight White, Jack Ham the list goes on and on...simply the best EVER!

2. San Fran 49's. Jow Montana, Dwight Clark, Jerry Rice..4 rings...wow what a team!

3. Miami Dolphins 72-73. Undefeated in '72, Bob Griese, Paul Warfield, Larry Csonka, Jim Kiik, Dick Anderson, Mercury Morris...Wow, how I'd love to see them play again. They also lost their QB early in the season and Earl Moorel came in to carry the Dolphins to the perfect and only team to ever do it since.

That's mine...what's your?

I'll agree with you on your first 2 but The third one while the are without exception the greatest team in football for that accomplishment I wouldn't call them a dynasty and as much as it pains me to say this I think number three would have to be the Cowboys in the 90's they won 3 in that decade.

Houston has a rich and proud history of professional sports. With football being such an important part of life in Texas, the city of Houston boasts a rich tradition of professional football going back 50 years. With the loss of the Oilers in 1996 it was only a matter of time before pro football would be restored to the city and its loyal fans.

The first professional football team in Houston was the Houston Oilers. The team was started in 1959 by owner Bud Adams who was also a co-founder of the AFL. The Houston Oilers took part in the first ever AFL championship match and beat the then Los Angeles Chargers to claim the title. The oilers and their fans continued to enjoy many years of football in Houston before their owner decided to unceremoniously move the team to Tennessee in 1996 with the lure of a new state of the art stadium which they moved into in 1998. Despite huge public outcry against the move the owner decided to move the team anyway and pay millions to the city of Houston for damages for the loss of the team to the city. With football being such a huge part of Texas it would not be long before professional football would be returned to the city of Houston and their great and loyal fans. However, it was not easy to get a new team and many obstacles had to be overcome before the NFL would grant Houston with a new franchise.

In 1997 the now current majority owner Bob Mcnair began a push to bring professional football back to Houston by establishing a new organization called Houston NFL Holdings. In 1998 the NFL announced that it had narrowed its search for a new location for its 32nd franchise to three possible locations. These were Toronto, Los Angeles and Houston. Los Angeles quickly became the front runner to get the new franchise mainly because of its huge media market. Houston officials announced that they would build a new domed stadium as part of their plan to compete for the new franchise. At the same time entertainment guru Michael Ovitz announced plans to a new state of the art stadium in Los Angeles. Both Mcnair and Ovitz would put pressure on the NFL to make a decision on the new franchise by early 1999 so as to keep public support from waning. Meanwhile Ovitz would receive competition in his own market from real estate developer Ed Roski whose proposal involved renovating the Los Angeles coliseum.

In early 1999 the NFL owners voted in favor of Los Angeles with their decision being contingent on the city putting together an acceptable ownership team and stadium deal. If they were not able to accomplish this, the NFL announced it would then turn its attention to awarding Houston with the new franchise.

Subsequently the city of Los Angeles decided it would not permit tax dollars to be used to help build a new stadium and neither Roski nor Orwitz were willing to work together or build a new stadium on private financing alone. Since Houston was prepared to build a brand new state of the art stadium, they then became the front runner to get the new NFL franchise. Despite late efforts by Los Angeles to secure a deal the NFL finally decided to award Houston with the new team in October of 1999 and accepted Mcnairs 700 million dollar offer as well as award Houston with the 2004 Super Bowl.

Thanks to persistence and hard work professional football had been restored to Houston where it belongs. The new franchise would decide upon the name Houston Texans after receiving permission to use the name from Lamar Hunt who had previously founded the name Dallas Texans and which later would become the Kansas City Chiefs. With former Denver Bronco assistant Gary Kubiak now in place as the head coach and quarterback Matt Schaub signed, the Houston Texans hope to establish a winning tradition for years to come. Along with their loyal fans they are looking toward the new season as a breakthrough year.

La Rue Team is a group of Houston relocation specialists dedicated to helping families find the best homes & new lives in Houston, Texas.

is Tim Tebow a throwback player or a new breed?

is he more like a roger staubauch or a sign of things to come,
i was at the game saturday against vandy, and i will tell you Tebow is a hero to Gator fans, i was at the Gator walk, and Tebow started at the first person and shook hands all the way down the line all the way up to the stadium, stoped for all the kids, urban meyer did also, the kids like Tebow and the other Gator players make you proud to be a Gator
i saw little girls, little boys, grown women and men both white and black and all nationalities with tebow jersey's on,
he deserves all the good things that are said about him.
so all you people that say bad things about Tebow, both on the field and off, just stop, you sound like the biggest fools on the planet.
your right stonewall not yet like staubauch, but he's only a sophmore
time will tell on that one

He's a hybrid of a throwback and new breed, he's definitely one of a kind. He's a perfect fit for Urban's system. I remember watching this kid in highschool where he would look like the old kid in the neighborhood playing against all the younger kids. I have to admit, it hurt a little when he announced he was going to play for the University of Florida. But I still think the guy is an amazing talent and I actually like to watch him play. I just imagine him wearing Garnet and Gold instead of Blue and Orange....

Why do the Americans call themselves as the World Champions after winning the Super Bowl?

The "foot ball" is only played in the U.S. and they call themselves world champions. Why do they do that?
What about rugby then? If England have a match win it they could say they are World Champions. But any way the logical answer that since it's the National Football League it should be the National Champions and not "world chapions"

well if any other country tries to play it, I'm sure they can beat them, so it'll probably hold anyways...

super bowl xxvii....broncos vs bills? thats wrong on so many levels...they're both afc, first off. Then you click on the slideshow for that game, and it SHOWS the cowboys, silver and blue, stars on the helmet, but the caption still calls them the Denver Broncos.

Guess thats what happens when you read sports articles from Forbes magazine. Stick to ranking rich people, guys....

Obviously that was a mistake that wasn't caught. In the editing and even web development business if anyone ever submit an article or information with flaws in it, then their job is either in jeopardy or they are fired. Yahoo has a lot of issues that need to be addressed. This is just a prime example of how this so called "internet giant" has lost a lot of quality down the years. This site is also an example, it needs massive updates the quality isn't there anymore. Yahoo needs to do better with its employees because its coming off as really unprofessional.

I personally think that they should be severly punished! What they did was/is more destructive to the integrity of the NFL then Michael Vick, Michael Irving, Ray Carruth...etc..
I mean seriously, they TAMPERED WITH THE OUTCOME OF THE GAMES! They should be treated with the same regard as the NBA reff who was in cahoots with the mob. They make me sick, there is no room for cheaters in the NFL.
You found out! I am Pac Man, my name is actually Adam ironically. Anyway, think about it rationally...they cheated to win. the 2005 super bowl, eagles 21 pats 24? google it, they cheated! & yeah, I'll compare them to drug dealers and murderers - how many people do you think got beat up because they couldn't pay the bookie because the pats cheated! collateral damage, YOU KNOW I"M RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FLY EAGLES FLY!

I agree with you 100%. Just like that scumbag NBA ref that fixed games, intentional premeditated cheating by coaches damages the integrity of the whole league and every game the Pats have played in for the last 5 years.

I think Bilichick should have been suspended for 1 year.

I will be very interested to hear Bilichick's apology to see if it is sincere or whether like Vick he just doesn't get what the big deal is about.

I have always liked the Patriots OK, but now I question whether their 3 superbowls were won fairly and I hope they have an unsuccessful year. (Go Seahawks!)
