How can I sign up for the Sony BMG Promo List?
I have a podcast, and I know that other podcasters are on Promo Lists for music distributors, meaning they get stuff for free to play on their shows. Does anyone know how I can sign up for this list?
It may be that a few very popular podcasters are on a few demo lists, but I find it unlikely especially with the state of the record business in the dumps as it is these days.
So, if that's the case, get popular first, then (when you can prove it with hard numbers), those in charge of label promotion in the appropriate formats will probably contact you. If not go to the below site for a listing of all the record label promo depts.
